A Monument to Folly

from The Unwilling Sacrifice by Malum Mortuus

/

lyrics

Father, whose spirit guides my blade, I await thy mighty call
Ever, the hunger grows in me, desecrate thy mortal souls
Master, whose kingdom shall be wrought, burning through the holy see
Slavers, with flesh we raze these walls, laying siege to Yahweh's hall

Daggers, with which I pierce the hearts, spirits shorn for ritual
Never, to see the light of day, vessel born for Satan's breath
Vengeance, I swear upon the priest, arbiter of godly creed
Preacher, whose flock you now betray, lying neath the broken cross

I am enslaved, for the power of hell I fight
I serve his will, in the darkness and dead of night

Through this fog ever shrouding my heart
By the urge I cannot break
I open the gates to the cemetery
With the rage of squandered blood
The keeper who had warned me before
Still confirms my gruesome fate
I plead for my cursed and damned soul
Torch this monument to folly

Father, whose spirit guides my blade, why have you forsaken me?
Never, to know her warm embrace, nevermore to walk this earth
Faster, the war drums ever beat, conquerors of earthly woe
Sever, my spirit from my flesh, spectral sword and bane of kings

I am enslaved, for the power of hell I fight

Malum Mortuus Denver, Colorado

As cold and solitary as the peaks of the Rocky Mountains, a monument to what was, is, and ever shall be. Forever independent, forever underground.
